We are Sama Sama Hawai‘i, a Filipino-inspired boba and coffee business built on culture, family, and community. Every drink is handcrafted with real ingredients, crafted to remind you of home. Our mission is to celebrate Filipino culture, spark nostalgia, and create a space where every sip carries a memory and every visit feels like home.

Every syrup is handcrafted in-house using real fruit and ingredients. No artificial flavors, no pre-made mixes—just freshness you can taste in every sip. (The only exception? Our ube syrup, which uses a touch of color to capture the vibrant purple hue that makes this flavor so iconic.)

Barako Beans

Our barako beans come straight from the Philippines, known for their bold, rich flavor and cultural heritage. Each cup honors the rich traditions of Filipino coffee—a true taste of home in every sip.

Your catering service for our baby shower was awesome! The guests loved that they could have a refreshing boba drink throughout the night. It was definitely something different that guests could choose, aside from the typical canned soda, juice and bottled water. We loved the size of the boba too, very convenient. A lot of our guests were able to go for seconds and some even went for thirds, just so they could try all of the flavors! Thank you for the wonderful catering :)

After finding Sama Sama at local food festivals, we were happy to see that they were one of the few boba businesses that cater a boba bar at events! A lot of other places I inquired about could just deliver pre-made drinks rather than make their own, which is not quite the same. On the day of, they come promptly with two workers and their supplies. We provided a table for them to set up and they took care of the rest! We arranged for four drink flavors - ube milk tea, brown sugar milk tea, calamansi tea drink, and peach mango tea drink - all with the option to add boba. Let me say - the calamansi was a hit! It was one of my favorite drinks when I would visit their food truck, so I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. Overall, everything turned out great. From their service at the party to their set up and break down time, to their great flavors, I would love to cater them again. They are creative in the sense that they are incorporating boba/ tapioca tea with popular flavors in Filipino culture. Their small business is also based out of Waipahu, a town that is near and dear to my heart. Thank you, Sama Sama for elevating our boba-themed baby shower. I'm looking forward to seeing you at future parties and at your food truck!
